Schools out…Let the Summer Begin!

It’s our favourite time of the year…Summer. It’s time to throw off the winter woollies and get the summer clothes out from the back of the wardrobe! The kids are all excited to finish school and enjoy the freedom Summer brings. We know it can be hard for parents to keep the kids entertained and find different activities for them to enjoy.

Moher Hill Petting Farm – situated overlooking Liscannor Bay on a 14 acre open farm. You can enjoy the opportunity to learn about and interact with your favourite animals such as Leroy the llama, Andy the alpaca and Ozzie the ostrich.

Bunratty Folk Park – When you visit Bunratty Folk Park you experience a living reconstruction of the homes and environment of Ireland of over a century ago. The impressive setting is on 26 acres of land. Village shops, farm houses and streets are recreated to show what they would have looked like at that time. During your experience you can also enjoy their Fairy Village, which is located in a pretty woodland. It is ideal for a family day out.

The Cliffs of Moher – The Cliffs of Moher are visited by over 1 million people a year, making it the second most visited attraction in Ireland. The impressive Cliffs stand over 700 feet tall and stretch for 8 kilometres. Enjoy Ireland in its most natural and breathtaking form. O’Brien’s Tower stands near the highest point of the cliffs and has served as a viewing point for visitors for hundreds of years. You can also enjoy a cruise around the cliffs and experience them in a whole new way. It is a must see along the coast of the Wild Atlantic Way.

Birds of Prey at the Burren –Visitors can interact and get up close and personal to the birds such as eagles, falcons, hawks and owls. This experience is ideal for your family day out.

Aillwee Caves – The Aillwee Caves are located in the heart of the Burren. The cave system consists of over a kilometre of passages. Its features include an underground river and a waterfall as well as some large stalactites and stalagmites. It is a great family day out, the kids will enjoy and learn at the same time. While there, you can also visit the Birds of Prey Centre. Visitors can interact and get up close and personal to the birds such as eagles, falcons, hawks and owls. This experience is ideal for your family day out.
