Irish Seaweed Safari
The Irish Seaweed Safari is an experience not to be missed! You are able to join 4th generation Seaweed Foragers and enjoy the spectacular shore walk from the rugged coastline of Caherush in Quilt and moving along the shoreline enjoying nostalgic views looking out on Spanish Point Bay along with the spectacular Cliffs of Moher and the Aran Islands.
During the safari, you will learn about the many seaweeds the Atlantic Coastline has to offer. You will be shown how to identify and harvest the seaweeds by hand like our ancestors would have done years ago and you will learn about the Nutritional Benefits of the edible seaweeds.
What we recommend you need during the tour:
- Appropriate Clothing for weather conditions
- Walking Boots/Shoes
- Camera to take some stunning photos!

‘Amazing’
“This was the first time in about 15 years that I have holidayed in Ireland. It was superb. This hotel is so suitable for families, kids club, swimming pool, really child-friendly staff, good choice of food and excellent breakfast. On the way home, we went by Father Ted’s house. I would really recommend Treacys West County Hotel In Ennis and County Clare as a holiday destination.”
‘Great Hotel for a Family Break Away’
“Great Hotel for a family break away, Activities for kids every evening. Leisure centre a bonus. We were beside all local places such as Bunratty Castle, Cliffs of Moher, Father Ted’s house and the caves. Food was nice. Room was spacious. Staff Very helpful.”
