Cliff of Moher

Cliffs of Moher

Like more than a million plus visitors who come to see the Cliffs of Moher every year, you can look forward to a trip never to be forgotten. Experience Ireland in its most natural, rugged and breathtaking form.

Step on to the edge of the world and into an awe-inspiring view that dreams are made of – at the Cliffs of Moher you will encounter nature in its wildest, purest form – see the rugged cliffs facing the mighty ocean, taste the salt air, hear the birds cry, feel the ancient rocks beneath your feet, smell the wind.

The Cliffs of Moher stand majestically over the Atlantic Ocean, looking out to the Aran Islands and the hills of Connemara across Galway Bay. The cliffs reach 214 m (702 feet) in heights at their highest point. On a clear day the Aran Islands, Galway Bay, the Twelve Pins and the Maum Turk mountains in Connemara as well as the Dingle Pennisula and the Blasket Islands in Kerry are all in view.

Here at Treacy’s West County Hotel, Ennis we are located 30 minutes drive from the Cliffs of Moher making us a great option for a hotel near The Cliffs of Moher. Our focus is to make your stay as exceptional as possible. See What our Guests have to say:

Just Simply Stunning!

Words can’t describe the true beauty of this place. Everything is just wonderful and hard to be forgotten. We enjoyed searching for puffins and walking out on the cliffs. It’s a bit slippery and wet – and windy, so I suggest to prepare your coat.
The famine walls around town are protected heritage sites and an important part of history. There are also gift shops and cafes. It is a must see in Ireland.

Beautiful…..even in a Gale!

The weather was no the nicest on the day we visited the cliffs, but the views were so incredible that we walked in the wind and rain for a couple of hours hiking along the paths to take in the various angles of the cliffs. The parking is very convenient across the road, and the small cafe, washrooms and gift shop(s) are tucked nicely under a cliff near the walking path.
